"For those who love the game."

About the founder...

MARK GRIM

As a lover of golf for many years,  Mark Grim has been very interested in the impact of technology on the game. This led him to create this website to give an arena for opinions--and even dialogue--on subjects dear to the hearts of those who love the game.

Grim has a background in journalism. He served as Editor-Reporter at The Othello Outlook newspaper in Washington state for 5 years; and has worked in journalism for about 9 years. In addition to having his articles and opinions in The Outlook, his articles have also appeared in The Seattle Times, Lake Stevens Journal, the Willapa Harbor Herald and the Bellingham Herald.

In August of 2003, he completed an original screenplay, Mental Game.  It is the story of a struggling professional golfer who utilizes his out-dated equipment and former caddy to regain his winning state of mind. Click here for a synopis of the full screenplay.

In 1998, Grim came up with the idea of making candy products commonly sold in Canada available on the Internet to people in the United States www.panhandlepremium.com. That idea was implemented and the business opened on the Internet in October of 1999  (click here).

He also owns and operates Student Prints Buttons & Machines. Student Prints supplies button-making machines and parts to clients, mostly school districts and other educational bodies, all across the North America. www.makebuttons.com

Although Grim says he is not a great golfer, he has not given up hope on his game.  He says his game resembles the story of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde at times.  He loves to study the swing and work on his game, and can often be found chipping, putting or pounding a small bucket.

He grew up in Bellingham, Washington, which is just south of Vancouver, British Columbia. He and his wife Charisma make their home in Bellingham.
